This is the beginning of my online novel for NaNoWriMo. 

Finding Firebird is a story about Phoenix, a teenage girl who lost her mother at a young age.  When her father doesn't allow her to invite her mother's parents, who she hasn't seen since she turned 2, to her eighteenth birthday party, she goes in search of answers. 

With the help of a young man named Kayde, Phoenix find her grandparents and finds why her father has such a problem with them, and now, she has to make a choice.
